What is the best time of year to go to Guanacaste, Costa Rica?
Truth is, there’s no bad time to explore Guanacaste.
Located in Costa Rica’s driest province, Playas del Coco enjoys sunshine even during the "wet" season—expect short bursts of rain, followed by blue skies and fewer crowds.
The dry season (Dec–March) is bright, hot, and perfect for beach days. But honestly? Our favorite times to visit are July and November—the weather’s still beautiful, the landscapes are lush, and the tourists? Almost none. Just how we like it.
